A Walking Piece of Art

Ebony London Art Studio invites you to be a vendor at "A Walking Piece of Art" Black Friday event!

Vendor Fee: $85

Vendor Requirements:

  • CA Seller Permit
  • Business Operations Tax Certificate (BOT) 
  • General Liability Insurance

Jewelry Requirements:
  • handmade by vending Artist
  • jewelry card branding on each piece
  • 80% of the jewelry displayed must be valued at $30 & up
  • professional display of each jewelry piece
  • no duplicate pieces (Similar pieces, such as a "series" is acceptable)

Application Process:
In addition to the completed Vendor Application, the following is required:
  • 5 sample photos of the handmade jewelry to be displayed and sold
  • 2 sample photos of the "vendor booth" showing how the jewelry will be displayed during the event

Once your application is received, an email will be sent confirming that your  application is being considered. Within two weeks, you will receive a response, either approving or denying your Vendor Application. 

If approved, the following are due immediately to confirm participation:
  • The non refundable vendor fee
  •  The signed "Vendor Agreement"

RIGHT TO SELL: Vendor shall have the right to sell only the agreed upon items (i.e. sample items and similar items, that accompanied the Vendor Application) set at the agreed upon prices. (80% of items priced at $30 or more)

HOURS OF OPERATION: Vendor booths must strive to be fully staffed and open for sales to serve customers Friday, November 27, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. regardless of weather conditions. Closing or striking early or opening late will result in a $100 fee charged to the Vendor. Vendor understands that ‘A Walking Piece of Art’ event will be held regardless of weather.

BOOTH SIZE: Standard booth size will be 10 feet by 10 feet  for vendors. No sales or service shall be made from the sides or rear of the allotted space or spaces. Vendor understands that “A Walking Piece of Art, in its sole discretion, will assign space. Vendors are responsible for their own display, including table & chairs. There will be no electrical outlets available.

Vendor Schedule:

  • SET-UP: 8:30 am
  • Take-Down: 5:10 pm

SIGNAGE: The Vendor may only display its own business signs and banners within the assigned booth space.

TRASH: Spaces must be free of trash, litter and other refuse at all times. Failure to do so will result in a $100 fine.

CONDUCT: “A Walking Piece of Art” is a family-friendly environment. Vendors are expected to comply with the following:

  • Fair, courteous, non-discriminator and professional staff
  • Keep space clean, safe and maintained
  • no smoking or consuming of alcoholic beverages

Any violation of the above-mentioned expectations risks your space and exclusion of future “A Walking Piece of Art” events.

CANCELLATION: Vendor may cancel participation at any time, however, the vendor fee is nonrefundable and the vendor space is nontransferable. Once cancelled, the vendor space will be offered to a ‘wait listed’ vendor.

Assigned spaces not checked-in and occupied by 9:00 AM on the day of the event will be subject to resale by Ebony London Art Studio. Provided there is enough room, the original vendor may be reassigned, but under no circumstances will a refund be issued.

NOISE: Ebony London Art Studio reserves the right to monitor or prohibit the use of any electronic equipment, machinery, or other activity that is determined to be a distraction for other booths or attendees.

PIERCING: Vendors ear piercing must submit a letter of approval from the local health department and all required permits with the application.

INSURANCE: All vendors must provide proof of insurance. A Certificate of Insurance must be submitted with your application naming “A Walking Piece of Art By Ebony London Art Studio” as an additional insured with a minimum general liability limit of $1 million. Your existing insurance policy is usually sufficient. If you do not have insurance please contact Ebony London Art Studio. We have affordable one-day coverage.

LICENSE AND PERMITS: Vendors are responsible for obtaining and complying with all necessary licenses, permits, and tax regulations. You are advised that a Business Operations Tax Certificate is required to sell, expose for sale, or offer for sale any goods, wares, or merchandise in the City of Sacramento. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, INDEMNITY, RELEASE: Neither Ebony London Art Studio nor any of its officers, agents, volunteers, employees, independent contractors, or other representatives shall be held liable for, and they are expressly released from, liability for any damage, loss, harm, or injury to the person or property of Vendor or any of its officers, agents, volunteers, employees, independent contractors, or other representatives, resulting from theft, fire, water, accident, or any other cause.

Vendor shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ebony London Art Studio and any of its officers, agents, volunteers, employees, independent contractors, or other representatives (i) from and against any and all claims arising from any acts, failures to act, or negligence of vendor or any of its officers, agents, volunteers, employees, independent contractors or other representatives, (ii) from and against any and all claims arising from breach of, or default in the performance of any obligation on Vendor’s part to be performed under, these terms and conditions, and (iii) from and against all costs, attorney's fees, expenses, and liabilities incurred in the defense of any such claim or any action.

Under no circumstances shall Ebony London Art Studio be liable for consequential, indirect, special, or punitive damages of any kind, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, whether based upon lost goodwill, lost profits, loss of use of the booth, or otherwise, and whether arising out of breach of any express or implied warranty, breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation, strict liability, or otherwise.
